JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND –
Last updated: Aug. 25, 2022
Joint Base San Antonio's Active Duty members no longer have to schedule an appointment to seek treatment for acute (meaning symptoms have been occurring for less than 14 days) musculoskeletal issues. The 59th Medical Wing's Physical Therapy team has launched a Direct Access Clinic where Active Duty patients can seek walk-in treatment four mornings a week.
The Direct Access Clinic will serve Active Duty patients Mon., Tues., Thurs., and Fri. from 8-10 a.m. Walk-in services are not available at the clinic on Wednesdays due to wing-wide Wednesday Readiness Training.
The Direct Access Clinic is designed to treat issues such as:
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Knee, shin, foot, ankle, and/or toe pain
- Wrist pain
- Recent back pain or injury
- Common recreational injuries that may happen during Squadron PT, sports, etc.
The Physical Therapy Direct Access Clinic is located in Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, 3rd Floor, C-Wing.
The Physical Therapy Clinic (and other non-emergency 59 MDW facilities) are closed Federal Holidays and AETC Family Days. Call (210) 292-5040 for questions.
