The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
Our military medical center remains open and we’re continuing to provide healthcare services. Scheduled appointments and procedures are proceeding as planned, and new appointments continue to be booked. Booking an Appointment

Schedule with your primary care manager (PCM) first. You have two ways to schedule:

Need to Check on a Referral?

When you have a referral to see a specialist, our Consult and Appointment Management Office will try to schedule you at one of our military facilities first.

Follow these steps when you need to see a specialist:

  1. Get a referral from your PCM.
  2. Call CAMO at 210-916-9900 or 800-443-2262
    • Check the status of your referral, and
    • Schedule your visit
  3. If you can't get an appointment at one of our facilities:
