Immunizations

The Immunizations Clinic serves patients of all ages. Walk-in and same-day immunizations are administered during normal duty hours. Beneficiaries should bring in all immunization documentation when visiting for the first time or if immunizations were received from an outside facility. The Immunizations Clinic is a walk-in clinic. Please note that patients may experience increased wait times depending on patient volume.

Influenza Vaccine Update

Flu season is upon us. We are concerned about your health and encourage everyone to get vaccinated annually against influenza.

It’s critical that everyone who is able receives a flu vaccine. It’s essential that active duty service members, active duty family members and other beneficiaries are well-protected from influenza.

Please see the guidance below for getting the flu vaccine here at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center.  

Active Duty Service Members (ADSMs):

Active duty and Guard/Reserve members are required to get the flu vaccine.

Influenza vaccine is available for all Active Duty Service Members at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center. The vaccine is offered as a walk-in service at the Immunizations clinic, 3rd Floor, D Wing.

When you get a flu vaccine from anywhere besides Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center follow your Service policy guidance for recording the vaccine in your shot record. You'll need the following information:
  • The date the vaccine was given
  • The vaccine name or code
  • Manufacturer
  • Lot number

Active Duty Family Members (ADFMs):

Influenza vaccine is available for all Active Duty Family Members at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center. The vaccine is offered as a walk-in service at the Immunizations clinic, 3rd Floor, D Wing.

Other Beneficiaries: 

Influenza vaccine is available for all other beneficiaries at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center. The vaccine is offered as a walk-in service at the Immunizations clinic, 3rd Floor, D Wing.

Other Options for Getting the Flu Vaccine

If you’re unable to get the flu vaccine here, you can visit any participating network pharmacy or TRICARE-authorized (civilian) provider. Visit www.tricare.mil/flu to learn more.
