Air Force initiated the Versatile Injury Prevention and Embedded Reconditioning program (VIPER) and partnered with TayCo Brace to develop the XAB (eXternal Ankle Brace). This innovative brace offers better range of motion and comfort, reduces recovery time, and can be worn over combat boots or athletic shoes.

The TriService Nursing Research Program's annual Dissemination Course was held on April 4-6th, 2023, San Antonio, Texas. A room full of people sit while Brig. Gen. Jeannine Ryder, Chief Nurse of the Air Force, presents a power point discussing the top four research initiatives: aeromedical evacuation (AE) and en route care, prolonged combat casualty care in expeditionary and space, aviation and space medicine, and medical countermeasures to directed energy threats.
