59 MDW: Art, medicine merge in patient care

Sergeant 1st Class Randolph Adams observes his reflection in a mirror while trying on a compression at the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, Sept. 2, 2021. Adams' care team custom-made the mask to better resemble his pre-surgical anatomy. According to Adams, the mask is “a morale booster and makes me more comfortable with going out.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Tory Patterson)
