The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

59 MDW designates entry/exit points as precaution amid COVID-19

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas  –  

In an effort to minimize potential COVID-19 exposure, 59th Medical Wing facilities will have designated entry/exit points effective March 16, 2020.

The entry/exit points will be separated for 1) patients who may have been exposed or are currently exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19, 2) patients who are receiving care not related to COVID-19, and 3) staff-only entries.
