The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

59 MDW reduced operations, Feb. 18, 2021

Due to inclement weather, the 59th Medical Wing will have reduced services available at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Gateway Bulverde and Randolph Medical Treatment Facilities tomorrow, February 18, 2021. 
Appointments and operating procedures that cannot be conducted virtually are cancelled. Patients will be contacted to reschedule their appointment as soon as possible. Routine care appointments that are eligible may be conducted virtually, should staff and patients continue to have power.
The Family Emergency Center will remain open, providing 24-hour emergency care to all Tricare beneficiaries in the San Antonio area. In case of an emergency, patients should proceed to their closest emergency room or call 9-1-1.
