Nutritional Medicine

Welcome to Nutritional Medicine

Here at Nutritional Medicine, we are dedicated to transforming lives through the power of nutrition. Our mission is two-fold: to ensure our Service Members achieve peak mission readiness and physical performance, and to empower our dependents, children, and retirees with the tools they need to prevent disease and maintain lifelong wellness.
Whether you are looking to enhance human performance, prevent or manage chronic conditions, or establish healthy habits for you and your family, our team is here to support every member of the military community on their journey toward optimal health.

Our Services

  • Nutrition Classes: Comprehensive group education tailored to specific health goals.
  • Nutrition Counseling: Personalized, one-on-one appointments. We provide clinical recommendations to help you meet your health objectives and reach performance goals.
  • InBody Composition Analysis: A precise assessment of your body composition, including muscle mass, fat percentage, and hydration levels. This data allows us to tailor our recommendations effectively to your unique physiology and allows you to track your progress. (InBody-walk-in welcome)
  • Nutritional Outreach: Mobile support where our diet technicians visit units throughout JBSA to provide mission-focused nutrition education and unit-wide readiness support.

Nutrition Classes

  • Healthy Weight: Discover the power of a balanced diet and an active lifestyle in maintaining a healthy weight. Learn practical strategies, enjoy group support, and achieve your wellness goals.
  • Healthy Heart: Learn essential strategies for protecting your heart. We cover the roles of diet, physical activity, and cholesterol in preventing cardiovascular disease and safeguarding long-term well-being for you and your family.
  • Diabetes (Pre-Diabetes, Type 1 and 2): Delve into practical strategies for managing blood sugar levels with nutrition and lifestyle. Learn how small lifestyle changes and meal modifications can have a significant impact on your overall health and diabetes management.
  • Fit for Purpose: A collaborative approach to wellness hosted by Nutritional Medicine and Behavioral Health. This program addresses the emotional, psychological, and habitual triggers behind eating through mindful eating and sustainable lifestyle strategies. We provide the essential nutritional and behavioral foundation to complement medical treatments managed by your Primary Care Manager (PCM).
