Warrior Medic Highlight - A1C Samantha Sim

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas — Airman 1st Class Samantha Sim, 59th Surgical Operations Squadron ophthalmic technician, was nominated to be the first Top Eye of October 2022 at the Ophthalmology clinic in Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, Nov. 4, 2022. The Ophthalmology clinic started having Airman's Time on the first Friday of every month where they recognize one outstanding individual nominated as the Top Eye.

AETC commander outlines Strategic Action Plan focus area updates

In announcing the updates to Air Education and Training Command’s Strategic Action Plan, Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, the commander of AETC and the force development commander for the Air Force, reaffirmed the First Command’s priorities, which remain fourfold:  Advance force development, Enhance lethality and readiness, Transform learning, and Cultivate an environment of excellence.

2019 TRICARE Open Season, Federal Benefits Open Season starts next month

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — Did you know that the TRICARE Open Season and Federal Benefits Open Season happen only once a year? Unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event, open season is your only chance to enroll in or make a change to your enrollment for the participating programs. TRICARE Open Season applies to anyone enrolled in or eligible for a TRICARE Prime or TRICARE Select health plan. Federal Benefits Open Season is for enrollment in a Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program dental and vision plan. Both the TRICARE and FEDVIP open seasons will run from Nov. 11 to Dec. 9.
