59 MDW Labor Day 2021 limited services and closures

By 59th Medical Wing Public Affairs

On Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, the JBSA- and JBSA-Randolph medical treatment facilities will have limited services available. Primary care clinics, such as Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatric, BHOP, Flight Medicine and Warrior Operational Medicine Clinic, as well as our Gateway Bulverde Family Practice Clinic will remain open for same-day prescheduled appointments. Limited specialty care clinics will be open for prescheduled appointments.

COVID

COVID vaccinations and COVID testing will not be available.

PHARMACY

The JBSA-Lackland, JBSA-Gateway Bulverde, and JBSA-Randolph main pharmacies will only be available for same-day on-base appointment services.  Phone check-in will be unavailable. JBSA-Lackland and JBSA-Randolph satellite pharmacies will be closed.  Please consider checking-in for off-base prescriptions or ordering refills for pick-up prior to Aug. 31, 2021, as the week of a holiday is usually extremely busy and results in longer than normal wait times.

On Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, all Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland and JBSA-Randolph medical treatment facilities, COVID testing and vaccinations as well as pharmacies will be closed in observance of Labor Day.

For medical emergencies, dial 911 or visit your nearest emergency department. As a reminder, the JBSA-Lackland Family Emergency Center and Brooke Army Medical Center Emergency Department are open 24 hours a day.

For non-urgent medical questions, the Nurse Advice Line offers nursing advice by phone, chat, or video and can be reached at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273). Non-active duty patients may visit your nearest urgent care center, without a referral, for urgent medical concerns. For general COVID-19 questions or symptoms, please call the Consult and Appointment Management Office at 210-916-9900 to schedule a virtual appointment with your primary care management team. You may also send a secure message to your PCM team or refer to guidance on the CDC's COVID-19 website at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus.
