COVID-19 Vaccine

The CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 illness.

FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccines are currently available to all U.S. citizens and residents. Visit the CDC website for more information.

Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine

On Sept. 12, 2023, ACIP recommended vaccination with the updated (2023–2024 Formula) COVID-19 vaccine, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Novavax, to protect all persons aged ≥6 months against serious illness from COVID-19. Pending availability, the Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center plans to offer the Pfizer vaccine by appointment only to all DoD beneficiaries aged ≥6 months and older.

In the interim, CDC-recommended vaccines are also available within the community at no cost to everyone at a participating network pharmacy. Search for the closest TRICARE network pharmacy or call 1-877-363-1303.
