The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

AETC Commander’s Call Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, commander of Air Education Training Command, will host commander’s call Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. on AETC’s Facebook page. Webb, along with Chief Master Sgt. Erik Thompson, command chief of AETC, will go live to discuss the recently updated AETC Strategic Action Plan.  

All headquarters staff are required to tune-in and others are encouraged to watch and participate by submitting questions on the AETC Facebook page during the event.

The First Command’s priorities, remain fourfold:  Advance force development, Enhance lethality and readiness, Transform learning, and Cultivate an environment of excellence; but the focus areas have changed in response to progress made on initiatives during the past year and to align with recently updated Department of the Air Force strategic guidance.

The command team will discuss the changes, which focus the headquarters staff’s efforts and guide resource decisions to advance the command’s ability to perform its mission and vision of developing Airmen of character – the foundation of a lethal force.
