The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

WHASC COVID-19 Vaccine Update

The Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center has received the first delivery of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for the 5-11 year old age group. The vaccine will be given on a walk in basis in the WHASC atrium from 0830-1600 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and from 0830-1500 on Thursdays. Children who are younger than 7 (or any who may need additional assistance) can get vaccinated in the WHASC Immunizations Clinic located on the 3rd floor, D wing. Influenza vaccinations are also available in the same space. If vaccination is received off-base, a copy of the completed vaccine record  with the child's date of birth and DODID# (child or parent's) can be sent to the org box for transcription into the electronic vaccination record at usaf.jbsa.59-mdw.mbx.59-mdsp-immunization-clinic@mail.mil.
